Boyer Dance Studio
The Boyer Dance Studio in the Lang Performing Arts Center (LPAC) includes a complete sound system; a maple tongue and groove, sprung floor; mirrors along one wall, ballet barre along the opposite wall; and a Rosco dance floor. Frear Ensemble Theatre
The Frear Ensemble Theater is a black box studio on LPAC's lower level. It serves as an experimental and instructional space for Theater students. Many of the Theater Department's shows are held in the Frear. Contact: Jim Murphy
Kuharski Theater Studio
The Matchbox on the south end of campus houses the Kuharski Theater Studio as well as a large common space upstairs that is often used for dance and theater rehearsals. The Kuharski Studio offers a multifunctional rehearsal and classroom space that features multimedia components. Contact: Jean Tierno
Lang Music Building
Nestled on the edge of the Crum Woods, Lang Music Building — home to the Music and Dance Department — contains faculty offices, classrooms, practice rooms, a reception area, the Daniel Underhill Music and Dance Library, and a stunningly beautiful and acoustically superb 450-seat concert hall. Pearson-Hall Theatre
The newly renovated Pearson-Hall Theatre in the LPAC is the largest performing stage on campus. Comfort for all audience members is provided, as the theatre has a maximum seating of 696, as well as wheelchair accessible seating. The Pearson-Hall Theatre is versatile in its configuration: it offers a standard proscenium, as well as a full thrust. Additionally, an architectural feature of the theatre allows for a 75-ton movable soundproof wall to split the theatre into two independent spaces: a full theater, as well as a Cinema. A host of different activities occur within the Pearson-Hall Theatre, from movies and plays, to dance recitals and lectures. Contact: Jim Murphy
Troy Dance Lab
The LPAC's Troy Dance Lab includes a complete sound system; a maple tongue and groove, sprung floor; a baby grand piano; mirrors along one wall; and a ballet barre along the opposite wall. Contact: Susan Grossi during the academic year, Jim Murphy in the summer.

Galleries
Kitao Student Art Gallery
The Kitao Gallery space was acquired in 1999 through the joint efforts of the Student Art Association (now the Kitao Gallery Board) and the Photography Club. The student art “movement” won the referendum to become the only public student art space for students. Previous to 1999, this beautiful Tudor style building was used for storage and small events. Renovation of the space was completed in 2000. In May 2001, the gallery was dedicated to Professor Emerita of Art History T. Kaori Kitao. All students are welcome to apply for an exhibition. Individual students, student groups, and entire classes have held shows in this gallery space. Contact: kitaogallery@gmail.com
List Gallery
The List Gallery complements and enhances Swarthmore College's curriculum. Located in the Lang Performing Arts Center, the List Gallery's 1,200 square-foot facility was made possible in part through generous gifts by Vera G. List and by Eugene and Theresa Lang. Each year the List Gallery presents four exhibitions featuring works by both distinguished and emerging contemporary artists. In April and May, they feature a series of senior thesis exhibitions by Swarthmore College art majors. In June, they highlight the achievements of Alumni artists. Contact: Andrea Packard '85
